• Moore Council PTA

Moore Council of PTAs is the link between the local PTA unit and the state PTA. Moore Council's responsibilities are to strengthen local PTAs, develop leadership, promote membership and give service to the local school community. Moore Council supports programs such as Moore Public School Foundation, American Education Week, Reflections, Science Fair, scholarships and other programs that benefit students in our district.

Each of the schools has its own PTA unit, which operates independently under its own bylaws, but is a member of Moore Council. The seven secondary schools are considered PTSAs in that they allow students to join and participate.

The object of PTA is to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship. PTA's goals are to raise the standards of home life; to secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth; to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth; and to develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
